Transient EM
Transit Electromagnetic (TEM) is an electromagnetic method. The TEM survey is most used to delineate the possible mineralized fracture zone. The survey is based on responses of the ground to the propagation of EM fields composed of an alternating electric intensity and magnetizing force. It provides higher signal to noise ratio for enhanced data quality at depth. This survey can provide depth information of more than 600 m from the Earth’s surface to map the geological properties of the Earth.
Filed Survey
The use of TEM systems generates a rich data set. The time-varying primary EM field generated by the current in the transmitter loop and the reference signal provided to the receiver via the linked cable. TEM method is generally able to determine subsurface electrical properties, but are also sensitive to subsurface magnetic properties.
